(Roxie, a BDHPI Alum)
As 2012 comes to a close we are yet again amazed what the BDHPI Community has accomplished.
Hundreds of dogs have found new homes. Hundreds of dogs know love, warmth and a loving touch.
We, as Volunteers, have grown. We've all found new friendships. We have found new people in our lives who finally understand why we don't mind drool, let gi-normous dogs on our couch and spend our extra money on things like gas, bones, crates, new dog beds & collars for dogs that aren't even ours!
We've lost this year too...some of our personal dogs and some of our beloved foster dogs. It never hurts any less, but can you even imagine the crowd that awaits us when our turn is over?
We all move fast, especially the 4 of us Officers, so please know that our hasty replies, short phone calls and frantic pleas all come from a place of just wanting to help one more dog!
So let us all stop for a moment, reflect and say thank you. Whatever your contribution was to BDHPI in 2012, it helped save a dog, make no mistake about that.
Here's to 2013!
From our families to yours,
Lindsay, Bree, Lisa & Kristie
