The holidays are supposed to be a time of joy and cheer, but year after year here at Big Dogs Huge Paws we are overwhelmed by dogs being returned and daily owner surrender requests. We have also seen a pattern that many foster families take "a break" during the holiday season. This combination makes for a very tough holiday season for BDHPI and leads to some very hard decisions of saying no to many dogs in need.
Sadly, this year is turning out to be no different. We are already greatly overwhelmed by our wait list and the literal fact that we have no place for these dogs to go. Often times BDHPI is the last option for a dog in need.
